What an amazing event to be a part of... Despite the title, the variety show featured appearances by 200 celebrities, many simply in walk-on appearances or in a kickline with chorus girls. with George Burns, Lillian Gish, James Cagney, Grace Kelly, Orson Welles, Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon, Bette Davis, Robin Williams, Jimmy Stewart, Lauren Bacall and Gregory Peck to name just a few.
In 1982 working as a cameraman in NYC I spent a week at Radio City Music Hall filming the inaugural award winning "Night of 100 Stars" celebrating the centennial of the Actors' Fund of America, directed by Clark Jones.
